In our local high Streets eco and ethical living choices are increasing slowly, but there's still loads more choice on the internet. By spending some time searching on the internet its easy to find lots of eco and ethical sites and information. And prices are that much higher, if at all, than the none eco and ethical options. Here are our optimum choices (not in any particular order) that we aim to achieve to a greater and greater degree, along with percentages to show how successful we feel we are at present:
- To live easily, joyfully and healthily 80%
- Use only animal cruelty free products, goods and services 99.9%
- To eat organic and mainly vegetarian or vegan 98%
- To use mainly natural health products and healing, and only use conventional medicine when essential 95%
- To reuse, reduce and recycle in all areas of our lives 95%
- To use/buy fair trade, ethical, organic, recycled and sustainable local goods, products and services 90%
- To use public transport for work and leisure 99.9%
- To holiday in England and occasionally Europe - traveling by train and boat 99.9%
- To not have a car or fly - 100% since 2000
- To save money and reduce our carbon foot print by using low energy/low carbon or carbon neutral services and goods 90%
- To create a naturally healthy and environmentally friendly home - 75%
- To take an active role in meeting our children's individual educational needs by home educate them - 99.9%
