I think careers are more than paid work!
You can bring so much to the work you do, the people you work with/employ and your customers without even just choosing an environmentally friendly career - even when your work is not paid employment.

And there's lots of Natural Earth Living choices around work - from car sharing or traveling by public transport or even working from home, using video conferencing rather than flying to meetings, creating a paper free office, buying eco products and services, offering eco products and services to your customers, encouraging reducing, reusing and recycling at work, educating employees and employers about these issues and more...

Paul was a nurse, then retrained and is now a web systems developer for a local college - at work he's also a Recycling Champion and involved in Healthy Colleges, plus passes on eco information to his colleagues.

My (Sarah) career has changed a lot over the years - from a nurse in the NHS, to a self employed complementary therapist and healer to home educating my children. Each time I've moved on to do what I love, to follow my joy, I've seen so many people staying in jobs they hate because they don't feel they have a choice which is really sad.

You always have a choice if you take responsibility for your choice!
